As a Buyer, you will be playing a vital role in the procurement and logistics team in ABB Robotics. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that the materials are purchased and delivered on time and to the required specifications, always with the customer in focus.
Reporting to the Procurement & Logistics Team Lead, you will provide assistance to the wider business by ensuring that all purchasing activities align with corporate policies and by providing relevant market information.
You will in your daily work assist to the continuous improvement of supplier relations as well as purchasing processes while meeting the business targets.
Your responsibilities
Purchasing materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule and terms, negotiating with main suppliers and periodically renewing price lists, terms and conditions
Initiating purchase orders according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures
Overseeing supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolving performance issues
Identifying and qualifying new suppliers together with supplier quality and engineering specialists
Aligning supplier orders with customer requirements in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability and price

Your background
At least 2 years of experience within operational/tactical purchasing.
Knowledge within Electronics is good but not necessary.
Ability to work in close cooperation with other units, both inside and outside ABB
Self-drive personality and strong sense of ownership.
Customer first mindset and good communication skills.
Fluent in both Swedish and English, written and spoken.
