The role:
The Vehicle Structure team is looking for a Buyer with responsibility of components within the Trim and Sealing Team. The Vehicle Structure team is a part of the Global Platform Team within Procurement. You will be part of an ambitious and result driven team of buyers located in Sweden, China and US and you will have the possibility to use your former experience and grow in a dynamic environment.
What you’ll do
In this role, you will be managing sealing components through the whole process from the development phase and industrialisation phase to the running production phase.
You will be working in a cross functional team with other people from procurement, engineering, manufacturing, logistics and others.
In this role, you will work with stakeholders and suppliers to understand your product/service, its market, supply base and innovation to find ways to increase value for Volvo Cars - including cost, quality, and sustainability.
By leading negotiations and building relationships with an international supplier base, you will be responsible for continuous improvement of the overall performance and competitiveness in the value chain.
You will also be handling order management and capacity assurance.
On a personal level
We are looking for a person, who is commercial, and result driven with 5-10 years of procurement experience and several years of negotiation skills are required for this position

* have a strategic mindset with the possibility to builds trust

Do you fit the profile?
You have a commercial or technical university degree or equivalent working experience.
Experience from Procurement is meritorious.
