We appreciate that you hold a degree in engineering, business administration or similar meriting experience, with a desire to learn on the job and utilize your curiosity. Previous experience of purchasing processes or project management is meriting.

What we do: We purchase the new parts & components for any new project introduced in Scania’s portfolio of development, now we are taking on the new projects with Scania’s electrification journey. We work early in the process supporting our technical department in identifying cost efficient methods and matching them with the best strategically suitable suppliers in the market.
Who we are: We are 8 individuals working in a variety of segments with different challenges, but always helping each other to reach the overall results together. We look forward to learning new things from you and share our experience in return.
The role
As a Buyer in our team, you would be working mainly together with the segment of Pipes and their challenge to support our electrification projects, for early prototypes as well as serial nominations. We introduce pipes in many of the new projects at Scania, you will learn from our experienced project & prototype purchaser on this journey to choose our supply chain on this next level of product development. You will also support and learn from other areas at Chassis & Metal.
To be happy in this role we believe that it would help you to be structured and communicative, as you will be in contact with many people, internal Scania as well as suppliers, and need to be attentive to details as well as clearly communicate requirements and consequences. You should be comfortable with English as your main working language.
