Who are we?
As the Scania product portfolio expands within electrified and autonomous transport solutions, the development and sourcing of electronic components and cable harnesses to Scania products require a higher pace than before. To manage the new requirements we have to transform our way of working both cross-functionally and with our suppliers. Your responsibilities
In your role as a project buyer for the cable harness and component team you will work with operative and administrative tasks, as well as taking on your own assignments to ensure that we meet the project targets (deliveries in time to the right cost, quality and technology level, with focus on sustainability).
You will be responsible for managing prototype and spare part orders, as well as follow-up of deliveries. You will also support the team of project purchasers with various tasks, such as sending request for quotations, negotiating, placing orders, sending PPAP requests and managing product changes. As a project buyer you will have a great opportunity to learn and to develop both yourself and the current way of working. You will have many cross-functional interfaces towards for example R&D and production, as well as external contacts with our suppliers.
Who are you?
You are a person with commercial interest and a passion for doing business while staying close to the technology. You are analytical, structured, take own initiatives and are able to handle multiple things at the same time. You are used to handle large amount of data in Excel, as part of your analysis, as well as learning and using multiple systems needed to perform your work tasks.
You are good at maintaining relationships and like to represent purchasing in cross functions as well as towards suppliers in a professional way. You are also self-driven with high integrity and contribute to the development of the team.
We expect you to have an academic degree in industrial engineering, business or similar. You might have relevant previous work experience, but most important is your ambition and willingness to learn. As the role involves communication with global suppliers and the language used in the team is English, you are fluent in writing and speaking English. Other language skills is an advantage.
