Buyer Direct Materials

ValueOne is looking for a Buyer Direct Material for a nine month consultant assignment at our customers premises in Gothenburg. The assignment must be filled as soon as possible.

The role  

As Buyer Direct Material you are responsible for securing short and long-term sourcing strategies, negotiate on different types of categories, contract management, identify new suppliers/technologies and develop existing supplier relationships.

Main tasks:

Develop and maintain commercial relations with suppliers and stakeholders
Secure that the supplier base meet cost, quality and delivery expectations
Manage the day-to-day activities and develop global sourcing strategies for dedicated commodities
Lead/support cross-functional sourcing projects including activities such as planning, execution, analysis, negotiation, supplier selection and contract signing

Experience and competencies  

The person we are looking for must have at least three years of experience from purchasing and a be proficient in developing sourcing strategies and supplier base as well as driving cost effectiveness. Furthermore, you have excellent written and verbal English skills and an adequate academic education. Knowledge from the automotive industry is beneficial.

You will be interacting with stakeholders internally and externally which is why you need to have strong communication and collaboration skills. You have a strong inner drive and good leadership skills and possess a high degree of courage, integrity and business ethics. Furthermore, you are trustworthy and accountable for your deliveries.
