General Information

We are looking for a buyer for the Commodity group Powertrain Components within the department Powertrain & Chassis.

You will be part of a diverse and dedicated team of engaged purchasers with many different nationalities. We have a great team spirit, we believe in a climate where you can be yourself and diversity is a success factor where we treat everybody equally and with respect.

The complete team is located and working from the Scania Purchasing office in Södertälje in a modern work office landscape. Depending on the task, there are project areas, silent rooms, and a lounge for a coffee break. There is also the possibility of working from home some days of the week thanks to the modern remote work system.

Responsibilities

As a buyer in the Powertrain Component team, you will be responsible for supporting three sourcing managers with administrative tasks such as contract handling, order issuing, and invoice handling. You will also participate in supplier negotiations and other strategic works in the connected material groups. The position involves extensive contact both inside and outside Scania.

Your profile

We are looking for a person with a true commercial drive and a strategic mindset, with a good ability to develop and maintain a broad network of contacts both internally and externally and who dares to challenge the current way of working.

You are well organized, enjoy a fast tempo, and can manage short-term actions without losing focus on achieving long-term objectives.
