Buyer to AkzoNobel Decorative Coatings

Within a changing organization with an aggressive growth roadmap we are now looking for a Capex Buyer who has the drive to make an impact within the Purchasing Function.

Main objectives of the job will be to drive total cost of ownership reduction projects in investment and operations tenders and rationalize the supplier base. You will supplement the Purchasing function and work closely with the local Supply Chain and the General Services organizations, to create a win-win internal partnerships.

Main duties and responsibilities:
- Act as a purchasing business partner of Supply Chain and General Services teams.

- Drive investment and opex tenders with a focus on innovation, service level, TCO, eco efficiency and sustainability.

- Rationalize and manage the supplier base.

- Deploy SRM and SAP buying.

- Liaise with main buyers and other sites in view of increasing leverage with suppliers.

- Participate in cross-functional projects for AkzoNobel Decorative Coatings.

- Harmonize and standardize activities in our multi site

- Be the local functional champion for all procurement activities and policies


Job requirements

To be successful in this position you should hold a degree in Chemical Processing / Manufacturing or within the field of technically oriented commercial Purchasing. You have 3-5 years of experience in purchasing in an industrial environment. You have exceptional knowledge in Excel, and the Microsoft Office suite, knowledge in SAP/SRM is desirable.

As a person you are able to drive change and improvements with high engagement in the organization. You are responsible, result oriented and communicative. Customer Orientation is necessary in order to support Internal as well as External stakeholders. You have strong negotiation and analytical skills to leverage savings from vendors and to implement new proposals internally. You are self motivated in delivering on commitments and display high ethical and diversity standards.

Experience within a global organization is preferable since you will be participating in the interface among two functions, Sweden and Europe, with cross cultural differences.
You are fluent in both the Swedish as well as the English language, written and spoken.
