Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
My buyer for cast iron material groups is continuing her development and changing to another interesting position. Therefore I need to hire You to be part of the Commodity castings team and joining our growth within both traditional segments and Scania’s extensive, future focus areas.
Me – the recruiting manager
I have worked at Scania Purchasing for ten years in four different positions. Prior to joining Scania I worked within Investment Banking and Stockholm Stad Environment and Health Administration. I am Master of Science from Linköping University and also Environmental Engineer. My interest in technology, business and environment is solid and this is why I like Purchasing so much. I love watching people around me grow and actively participate in their development and hence an open atmosphere and real dialogue are corner stones in my leadership.
The team
Commodity Castings has a very good team spirit, very good knowledge transfer, and a lot of fun together most likely thanks to our variation in responsibilities and individuals. We are part of the Powertrain & Chassis department and currently consist of ten purchasers in an interesting diversity – a mix of age, gender, experience and nationalities. We are responsible for the procurement of all parts in cast iron and aluminum. Our responsibility is continually growing with new parts for future powertrains and vehicles.
You
I am looking for a passionate and educated professional with a commercial interest. You will be taking part in activities versus the world’s largest foundries and the ability to adapt and organize is essential. The pace is often high and challenging but very rewarding. Flexibility is a need but that also goes for Scania offering possibilities to grow in the profession while keeping an active private life and family. Success in this position takes commitment, focus, analytical skills and strategic thinking. The energy we will fill you with!
The task
As Buyer in the Castings team, you will be responsible for supporting four sourcing managers and you will be participating in all work related to strategically important material groups. The position involves extensive contact both inside and outside Scania. You will:
• Help making new deals with both short- and long-term perspective.
• Administrative tasks such as contract handling, order issuing, invoice handling connected to negotiations and sourcings are needed and will be done to support the responsible purchaser.
• You will be part of 3-rings which includes coordination of strategic work in cooperation with Scania Project Purchasing, SQAs and R&D, Scania operations in Latin America and Asia, and other Traton and Volkswagen brands.
