Buyers and Supplier Quality Engineer.

GM Global Purchasing and Supply Chain is part of the General Motors Corporation and responsible for all Purchasing activities of General Motors worldwide.In the European Purchasing organization there are approximately 750 employees operating in 16 countries.To strengthen our activities globally we are looking for highly skilled and dedicated professional Buyers and Supplier Quality Engineer.In this position you are preparing sourcing decisions based on world-class standards for Quality, Service, Technology and Price.Together with your colleagues in so-called "Creativity Teams" you are developing concepts and strategies to optimize quality, delivery and cost on purchased components.Responsibilities - You actively participate in negotiations with suppliers and establish and maintain supply contracts.- You follow and respond to changing market price trends and availability of materials and services.- You monitor supplier performance and advise management of concerns.- You manage and execute supplier issues, including Engineering change management, contract maintenance, parts availability, Quality and Launch support. - After you have gained professional experience, you will be required to present your results in front of international audiences in English language.Your profile - A degree in Economics with a technical focus or a degree in Engineering e.g.Industrial Engineering with an economic focus - You are self-motivated, able to work in a team environment and capable of taking on operational responsibility quickly.- You are a highly energetic and assertive person, not afraid of challenges.- Flexibility, initiative and the ability to work under pressure are essential.- Well-developed oral and written communication skill in English.- Experience in applying common software applications, such as MS-Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.- Work experience in an international environment is beneficial, but not required.Please register your application on GM Job Web, link at http://www.adecco.se/default2.aspx.
