We are now looking for a C++ Developer to work as part of the SDK Team within DevOps!
Comprising 10 Teams, the DevOps department is responsible for the Paradox Ecosystem which provides a variety of services and products to Paradox’s various Game Studios. These products and services include the Paradox Account service, Paradox Mods, social/player features (leaderboards, cloud saves, etc.), the Paradox Store, the Paradox Game SDK, and much more!
The SDK Team’s primary responsibility is the development and maintenance of the Paradox Game SDK which is used by both our internal game teams and by our external partner studios. The scope of the SDK is wide, supporting every technology, platform and game engine in use by Paradox published games. The SDK is used for interacting with all of our online services, as well as local file handling, caching, parsing, and state management.
In this role you will make important day to day decisions and, together with the rest of the team, develop groundbreaking features for both players and game developers. You will be a key member in designing, building, and shaping the effort in realizing features which enrich our Paradox ecosystem. This also means that you will be working closely with all of the Paradox game development studios, as well as the publishing organization, in order to maximize the consumption of our services to guarantee we continue delivering Paradox signature experiences.
What you will be doing:
Game SDK development, including code optimization & refinement
Software design and architecture
Service integrations and 3rd party library/SDK integrations
Planning, implementation, packaging, documentation, and delivery of our SDK
The skills & technologies you need to have:
Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent)
At least 3 years C++ commercial experience: Modern C++ (c++11, c++14, etc.), Standard Template Library (STL), multithreaded programming.
Desktop application development (OSX, Linux or Windows)
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Build and release management
Understanding of HTTP protocol, REST APIs.
Console development experience
An understanding and appreciation of the Scrum development framework
