Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
This position will give you the opportunity to work in an exploratory development department with equally ambitious and skilled colleagues to make Autonomous driving happen!
It’s hard to explain all the things we do but we can guarantee a varied work day, where it’s up to you to make something outstanding.
As a specialist in engineering productivity and continuous integration you will have a key role in enabling value by creating tools and automations for the feature teams. In our world we have around 400 individual Gitlab projects. Each and every project is a key component in the autonomous product and our mission is to ensure they can be built, tested and properly run individually and combined.
Our team is the back bone of the development and we make sure that the development environment is according to the feature developers need and that the CI build pipeline is up and running in the most efficient way.
We are looking for more developers to our team that can help us ensure that the development environment can be deployed and used on any given environments as well as having a reliable build process and complying tool chain.
Working here you will together with the team be responsible for keeping the development environment up-to-date with user needs, which can include support and updates for tools and the ability to run it in different setups. We always need to take into account the rapid changes ongoing in Autonomous development with new technologies and resource demands.
Our product should be experienced by the feature developers as seamless and we need to release updates without interruptions. This adds tough requirements on the basic build process for all modules as it needs to be reliable and utilize appropriate resources. Maintenance and control of the build process is done by Conan base files, third-party libraries and our own common build resource project that serves as the backbone to every module. You will learn the know-how on how Conan packages are build using Cmake and how they can be modified and used.
Who are you that we are looking for
We like you to have experience of and be comfortable working with at least three of the following, and interest in learning the others:
Linux, C++, Cmake, Conan, Doxygen, C compilers
It is meriting, but not necessary, if you've worked with any of the following areas:
Cuda (tools/drivers), Ansible, Docker, QNX, Python, Vagrant, VirtualBox, VMware and both set up and usage of cloud and on-prem server
Personality wise you are a person who are patient and wants to solve problems. You can find solutions were others might have given up.
Team work is something you look for in your job and you grow by learning together with others. We are a at the moment a large team with different skillsets and personalities, we divide us in to sub-teams to have efficient collaborations. We learn, laugh and problem solve together daily.
