Title: C71 Acoustic Design Engineer Location: Kista, Sweden Regular position C71 Acoustic Design Engineer Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB offers mobile communication products for people who appreciate the possibilities of powerful technology.Established in 2001 by Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson and Sony Corporation, the joint venture continues to build on the success of its two innovative parent companies.Sony Ericsson creates value for its operator customers by bringing new ways of using multimedia communications while mobile.The company has approximately 5,000 employees across the globe working on research, development, design, sales, marketing, distribution and support.Sony Ericsson is thanks to the success on the market going through a phase of expansion.The Acoustic Design group in Kista is responsible for the Acoustic Design and the Audio electronics in the Smartphone range of products.We would like to reinforce our engineering group with Acoustic Design Engineers.You need to have a strong interest in technical aspects in order to be able to ensure that our products will have the best and most efficient technical solutions.For this challenge we are looking for the following qualifications: .You have a University Degree within Acoustics(högskoleingenjör) as well as experience in the field..3+ years experience of Electro Acoustic Design in product development..Preferably you have experience from the whole product life cycle, including everything from writing specifications, design, verification, production support, product support to trouble shooting..Interest in problem solving .Interest in combining theory with hands on .Experience in leading a small team as Object leader .Interest in/experience from mobile phone industry .Fluent in spoken and written English You will collaborate closely with engineers from the fields of Mechanics, Software and many others.The position therefore requires a person who is able to work both independently and as a part of a team.Being pro-active is key as well as working in a structured and accurate way.Main responsibilities include: .Take part in concept studies .Writing specifications and discussions with vendors .Together with Mechanical Design secure acoustic performance in our products .Component evaluations .Design verifications on block level as well as on complete phones .Integration of Acoustics Design with Mechanics, SW and other disciplines .Involvement in manufacturing issues .Active project involvement If you find this interesting, please send us your application!
