Do you have a background in Cable Extrusion and experience in Cable Manufacturing Processes? Are you passionate about research and product development as well as see your products materialized in practice? The purpose of the role is to lead, develop and optimize cable extrusion processes. In addition, contribute to innovation projects, targeting development of novel polymers and polymer compounds within Energy applications.
You will be working in an international, cross-functional team, where you will be involved in all aspects of product development; project management, polymer design and production. Our good team spirit and interaction/cooperation enable step-change innovations and value creation.
Your areas of responsibilities are:
To lead, develop and optimize cable extrusion processes.
Perform R&D work to develop new polymers and compounds.
Translate market requirements into polymer processing properties.
Establish continuous interfaces with internal and external customers/suppliers in order to optimize development and utilization of own expertise.
Initiate and support patenting of new polymers, products and processes.
About you
You are the right candidate for this position if you have experience from Cable Extrusion and a deep understanding of polymer processing. You also have a MSc or PhD degree in relevant field (chemistry, physics, material science, polymer engineering/processing or equivalent).
We are looking for you who has excellent experimental design skills, as well as good data analysis, documentation, presentation and reporting skills.
Our department has 120 different nationalities, which also requires you to have written and spoken communication skills in English and an ability to work in multi-cultural and cross-functional teams.
As a person, you are passionate about research and product development, are committed and have a drive to constantly develop and improve. You are highly achievement and result orientated, flexible and comfortable taking and driving own initiatives. You need to have the ability to think in an analytical and conceptual ways and have concern for order and quality. Good and respectful teamwork across borders is a key factor in your work.
