Your tasks
More and more components needs to be provided with electrical power at the same time as there are more signals being processed, leading to increased needs of cables.At the same time we want to keep material costs and complexity down by finding smart solutions. Your responsibility is to design electrical schematics and cable harnesses within our bus E-mobility projects. You will work in close co-operation with the system owners, cable installation engineers and other cross functions. You will also need to get a good understand the Scania development process, from design work all the way to production and after market, to get a grip of timing, quality, and other types of challenges connected to the design work. You will start learning a focused area, but your understanding of the process will expand as you get more experience.
You will creating and updating schematic drawings for different systems used for bus E-mobility projects. You will have responsibility of an area and need to consider many aspects such as product quality, price, producability and after market.
Cable harness design for both VCA (24 V system) and VCB (>50 V)

Your profile
We strongly believe in a diverse mix between personalities and experience levels. Either you have solid experience in designing cable harness and schematics or you have the drive, curiosity and right mind set to learn fast and contribute within this area.
- You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
- You are interested in electronics
- You are eager to learn and develop yourself, and to give an impact on our products and way of working
- Previous schematics and cable harness design experience is a big plus, but not a must have.
- You are a team player, with social and communicative skill, and will reach out to cross function whenever needed (examples: purchaser, production engineer or service market engineer)
- If you Scania experience from other departments this could benefit our team
- Your English is fluent both verbal and written.

Our neighbour development groups with the section are also in the need of cable harness designers. Therefore an application to this job could also lead to a job on those groups. Our section RBE is dedicated to cable harness development for bus.
