Cable harness designer

The cable harnesses are the blood vessels of the TRATON vehicles, keeping the vehicle’s electrical functions working through all situations. Our section, EEPV Harness Design & Power Supply, focuses on cable harness design of VCA cables in trucks for both cab, chassis, and bumper. We are now looking to expand with new dedicated designers, that would like to help us develop the best electrical system in the business. We are hoping you would like to join us on our journey!
Your tasks 
As a VCA cable harness designer, you will be working with the development of TRATON’s future truck portfolio, along with improving current functions in our current Scania product portfolio.
You will be involved in product development projects in all stages, from concept development, and industrialization, to maintenance of released products.
Together with your agile work team, you will be responsible for some electrical systems and projects. You will then be responsible for either developing new 3D routing or/and electrical schedules for those systems, along with creating other needed product documentation. You will also be responsible for deviation handling for these systems.
You, and your team, will work in one of our agile flow, focusing on several projects in parallel within one product area, and you will follow the maturity of your systems during their whole life cycle.
You will be working in a central position at Scania R&D, working cross functionally both within TRATON R&D and with cross functions within Scania, to ensure we develop the best quality and innovative solutions for our customers, in time towards the customer needs.
Your profile 
We are looking for you to:
Have a university degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, product development, or similar
Have experience or knowledge about electrical 3D design, electrical schematics, or electrical components
Have an interest in product development
Have experience in cable harness, or mechanical, design
A plus if you previously have worked in automotive, or with the IT systems Saber, Siemens capital, or Catia

Full time, assignment situated in Södertälje. Hybrid work is available and business travels might occur.
