ESS is now looking for a CAD Integration Engineer for the Integration Services Group organised within the Project Directorate. The Integration Service Group is providing central engineering services to all projects at ESS during design, construction and operation phases. One of its section, the Spatial Integration section is in charge of orchestrating the configuration management of all 3D CAD representations of systems and sub systems across the facility.
Using a Plant Lifecycle Management platform, the team integrates the CAD models generated by all disciplines (civil engineering, plant and processes design, mechanical design) to assign and clash check the space available. Owning the configuration of the master CAD model of ESS, the section conducts or assists integration meetings with rendering capabilities: live projections, pictures/movies and virtual reality room.
Job description
Your main areas of responsibilities as a CAD Integration Engineer will be to:
• Import/Export/Conversion of CAD data
• Configuration Management of 3D models and 3D interfaces following the different breakdown structures implemented at ESS.
• 3D models quality checks, interfaces simulations and clash analysis
• Communication and documentation
• Integration meetings
• Virtual reality
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have:
• Technical diploma in civil, mechanical or plant and process engineering. or an equivalent combination of education and proven experience within relevant fields
• Experience in integration related activities of CAD models.
• Experience with Enovia platform with CATIA V6.
• Experience with handling very large CAD assemblies and associated configuration management.
• Experience with rendering solutions.
• Experience with virtual reality technology is an advantage.
• Experience of working in an international environment is essential
• Excellent oral and written English skills are a prerequisite; knowledge of other European languages would be an advantage

Duration & Location
The position is permanent with six months initial probationary period.
