Who we are
The CAE-team supports the climate department, but also other departments, with CAE simulation & analysis. The team is focusing on CFD simulation and analysis and 1D simulation and analysis, and we are now looking for a new colleague for the CFD analysis-side. The team today consists of 10 people, including Scrum Master and Product Owner.
The Climate department is responsible for the climate development within Volvo Car Group and the department is part of the Vehicle Platform unit within Volvo Car's R&D division. The Climate department owns most of the components connected to the climate function, and the SW-control of the same. We are in a challenging and exciting journey where climate is an important contributor to the electrification, energy efficiency and digitalisation transformation of the company.
What we offer
As a CFD analysis engineer in the CAE-team you will be a part of a goal-oriented, dedicated, and enthusiastic agile team. You will together with your team, Scrum Master and Product Owner decide and prioritize the backlog and make sure to deliver the scope of the team
You will support many different roles at the climate department and other departments with recommendations based on your analysis and experience, to contribute to the product development. You will be working with ongoing projects and with developing new methods.

What you will do
Close cooperation with your team, interfacing teams and other stakeholders within the company is key. In this role, you will work with CFD simulation and analysis, present and explain the result to different stakeholders and in different foras. You will also be able to work with developing new methods and physical validation. This role gives you a great opportunity to develop your technical skills, communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
Experience and educational background
We believe you have completed at least a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical engineering and has some experience from thermal CFD simulation and analysis.
We will be looking for the following skills:
0-4 years of experience from thermal CFD simulation and analysis
0-4 years of experience from working with Star CCM+
Good communication and presentation skills
Ability to build and maintain strong network and relationships with stakeholders.
Transparent team player with focus on delivering the teams short term and long-term goals
Contributor to a great team sprit
Fluent in English, both written and orally
You need to have or have the short-term ambition to get a driving license “B”, valid in Sweden.
