Aurobay is looking for a CAE engineer who is early in the career to be a part of the Engine CAE Solids team. The team is a part of the Research and Development Department that is responsible for advanced technical calculations within the area of structural analysis, power train dynamics and different types of mechanical analysis on sub systems. Important attributes to analyze are dynamics, vibrations, durability, thermal effects, and noise (NVH).

What will you do?

In this position you will perform state of the art computer aided analyses concerning dynamics, vibrations, noise, and durability. The analyses will be performed on the complete powertrain structure as well as on engine sub systems and components. Structure analysis using Finite Element Method (FEM) is an important part of the work but also analysis using Multi Body Simulations is an element in the scope. As CAE tools we use ABAQUS, NASTRAN, AVL/EXCITE, SIMDRIVE and similar software.

The work scope covers the complete process including model creation, performing calculations, analyzing results, issue recommendations, verbally present findings and issue written reports. You will take active part in development projects as well as method development. The team have members with highly experienced members who will support and boost your development.

Do you fit the profile?

You have a M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering with focus on Applied Mechanics or equivalent.

We believe you are early in your career and have a fundamental interest in analysis using advanced computer tools such as the Finite Element Method and Multi Body simulations.

Experience of structure analysis using a FE-tools such as NASTRAN or ABAQUS and ANSA for model creation it is an advantage. Knowledge of script programming in Python and Matlab, to facilitate the daily work.

We believe you are analytical and have a genuine interest of advanced technical calculations and highly developed methods. The work will be carried out both independently and in teams. We believe you are a team player. You should have a strong ability to communicate and to convey results in a structured and understandable way. You are fluent in English, spoken and written.
