Driver Assistance and Active Safety CAE group supports development and verification teams within Active Safety department by developing, deploying and maintaining the virtual testing tools and processes, as well as applying these tools in test activities and supporting test engineers using these tools.
The team mainly focuses on Model in loop (MIL), Software in loop (SIL) and Hardware in loop (HIL) testing tools. Verification of the future solutions for the future AS and AD systems, that consist of multiple sensor systems, ECUs that run sensor fusion (SF) and function algorithms, and actuator systems (powertrain, brakes and steering) with complex actuation logic, is a grand challenge. Virtual methods are enablers for ensuring high quality and top performance of the systems early in the projects, without use of prototype vehicles, reducing the development time and cost. Software in loop testing of the AS and AD systems where sensor, SF and function software components are integrated in a virtual vehicle under test, with logged or virtually created data as input, is identified as one of the key verification activities.
As a CAE engineer Active Safety, you will be a member of the MIL&SIL team, and become the main contributor in developing and deploying the SIL environment for virtual testing the full AS and AD systems. The SIL environment will enable virtual integration of SW components for multiple sensors, SF, functions and actuators.
Main responsibilities
. Develop SIL environment, including re-simulation of log data and closed-loop simulation tools
. Integrate SW components for sensors, SF and functions in the environment
. Support test engineers performing tests
. Perform tests (sensor, SF and function performance) and analyze test results
. Automate the SIL environment
. Release the environment with proper documentation and version control
. Maintain the environment
Required qualifications
. M.Sc. degree in Software engineering, Systems Controls and Mechatronics or equivalent
. Experience in real-time, multiprocessor and distributed applications, cluster computations, networks and communication protocols is desirable
. Experience in testing software or/and mechatronic systems
. Experience in programming in C/C++. Matlab and Simulink, GPU programming and Simuling/Matlab-C++ joint programming are meritous
. Experience in automotive software development or/and testing; competence in Autosar is meritous
. Strong analytical abilities since job requires ingenuity and creativity
. Driver's license
. Fluent in English (written and spoken)
