CAE Engineer - Body NVH

The section Vehicle and Body NVH CAE (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) is part of Volvo Car Group's department NVH Centre. The department is one of Sweden's most prominent NVH groups and it supports Volvo's car programs with analyses and verification work to be able to fulfil customer targets within the attribute area of noise and vibrations. Our responsibilities are target setting, method development, simulations, testing, attribute leadership and advanced engineering work. The Vehicle and Body NVH CAE section are responsible for both Vehicle, Body, and Gas Exchange NVH CAE from a complete vehicle perspective in car programs and advanced engineering. The team works integrated in all project phases, contributing with analysis and guidelines to improve the NVH attribute in our cars.
We are now looking to strengthen our team with a CAE Engineer - Body NVH. As a CAE engineer, you will be responsible to perform NVH simulations for body structure and acoustics in our car programs, develop our simulation models and methods and participate in requirement setting and writing design guidelines. We are often working in cross-functional teams which will give you many internal and external interfaces of collaboration and a chance to develop a broad network.
Main responsibilities
* Perform NVH CAE analysis of body structure and acoustics
* Participate in car program teams and communicate analysis results and guide the design work from an NVH perspective
* Participate in the requirement setting of the NVH attribute at systems level
* Participate in the development of improved or new methods and model capability
* Participate in implementation of new software / hardware
* Lead and take responsibility in NVH CAE assignments depending of experience and knowledge
Required qualifications
* Master of Science or higher education in Mechanical/Vehicle Engineering, Engineering Physics or similar
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Knowledge in structural dynamics and engineering acoustics
* Knowledge in Nastran, Ansa, Matlab, Adams and Hyperworks is an advantage
