CAE Engineer - Cockpit Integration

Cockpit Integration is part of the Interior department. We develop the Interior of all our cars with responsibility for the complete design process from concept development to industrialisation. We are also responsible for ensuring a the best Cockpit area, with Scandinavian luxury and safety. We lead the development of a complete cockpit into the vehicle balanced to project requirements. Our diverse group consists of twenty driven and outgoing persons with different competences and backgrounds. As CAE Engineer you will be a part of a smaller sub team of three people.
As a CAE Engineer, you will be performing CAE analysis on the Cockpit parts, providing help for the design engineers to optimize the design. The CAE work will take place from concept phase up to virtual verification of the design. As CAE engineer you will be part of a team consisting of concept leaders, design engineers, task leaders and other CAE engineers. You will support the development team to balance the product with respect of weight, cost and performance and perform relevant robustness analysis on the component / subsystem. As simulation engineer for interior you will also act as a link to complete vehicle simulation team in delivering CAE models.
Main responsibilities

* Create and develop virtual simulation concept models
* Perform simulations and analysis to guide the development team forward
* Participate in development of technical solutions and in cross-functional development teams
* Responsible for planning your own time and projects
* Participate in method development

Required qualifications

* M.Sc. Engineer
* Experience of CAE analysis (1-3 years) preferably within Safety
* Skills in Ansa, Nastran, LS Dyna and MetaPost
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Experience from working within Volvo Car Group is meritorious
