Our Crushing and Screening unit within Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions in Svedala is a global development center for crushers, screens, wear protection and screening media used in mining, quarrying and construction. We are now looking for a motivated CAE Engineer for our R&D team. Your mission
In this position, you specify, design, implement and use simulation models. The functionality you develop thereafter is used to design, optimize, and improve our machine systems. You gain a detailed understanding of the end functionality and system set-up, including a detailed understanding of the hardware and control systems we are using. Your gained knowledge is a key factor when designing and implementing new, state-of-the-art, simulation models. You influence our methods, tools, and way of working within the CAE area and can look forward to an inspiring journey together with enthusiastic and professional colleagues throughout the Sandvik organization.

Your character
We’re looking for someone with a master’s degree in either physics, mathematics or mechanical engineering, as well as a few years of experience in product development within relevant engineering areas. You’re familiar with the process of bringing simulation models from a prototype stage to proven development tools. Working on a global scale, you’re fluent in English, both in written and verbal form. Beneficial to this role is also your previous involvement and knowledge gained in:
Development of simulation models in different physical domains
Simulation model verification and validation
Testing and collecting data for model correlations
Rock processing or similar physical processes
Algorithm development and coding

Your personality is of utmost importance to us – you combine structured and analytical methods, with an eye for detail together with a pragmatic way of working. You’re as much of a team player as you are a creative problem solver, who also enjoys working with new technology and wants to continuously improve on a more general level.
