Who are we?
Volvo Cars is a company on a mission; to bring traditional car manufacturing into a connected, sustainable and smart future.
Since 1927, we have been a brand known for our commitment to safety, creating innovative cars that make life less complicated for our consumers. In 2010, we decided to transform our business, resulting in a totally new generation of cars and technologies, as well as steady growth and record sales. Today, we’re expanding our global footprint in Europe, China and the US, and we’re on the lookout for new talent.
We are constantly pushing our own skills and abilities to drive change in the automobile industry like never before. We are looking for innovative, committed people to join us in this endeavour and create safe, sustainable and connected cars. We believe in the power of people and will challenge and support you to reach your full potential. Join us and be part of Volvo Cars’ journey into the future.
Where You´ll Belong
You will join an agile team of six other experienced CAE engineers with complementary skills - where tomorrow's Exterior Front & Rear systems are developed. You, as a part of System CAE team, will work in a creative environment together with System Architects, System & Product Engineers, and Pedestrian Safety Specialist.
Collaboration and knowledge are our key enablers, and we utilise both virtual and physical tests for fast feedback loops. We are team players who embrace challenges and support each other in both technical and personal development. We expect success in our deliveries and take necessary actions to make it happen.
There are always open possibilities for personal development, depending on your interest, self-drive and your initiative. We will support you to reach your full potential.
What You´ll Do
You will build concepts models and evaluate system interactions and requirements cross attributes to enable program integration readiness according to System Architect’s needs. You will also develop detailed product models and validate with physical tests aligned with our product ownership. You are expected to actively contribute to method development.
You will be responsible for performing CAE simulations and recommend design choices for weight efficiency, durability, and pedestrian safety loadcases, but you need to be open for working on various analyses areas depending on dimensioning requirements and new product offers from our department.

Are you motivated to make a difference? Motivated taking virtual prototyping and verification to the next level? Are other describing you as a curios and inclusive person, who are excited to take ideas to real value, who care about collaboration and deliveries, a person with strategic mindset that continuously reflect on the “next step” for how analysis methods can further be developed?
