CAE Engineer with focus on NVH in Cab Development

Arbetsbeskrivning

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions. Our group/department
Electrification, autonomy, and a high focus on sustainability are transforming the complete vehicle industry. We in the Cab Strength and Crash Analysis group (ERCCC) are embracing this change and want to develop along with it. The group is responsible for the entire truck's finite element strength and fatigue simulations within Cab Development and crash simulations. The group is thus a key player in Scania’s continuous improvements to optimize for weight, safety, reliability, and cost. At the same time, we are also part of many new interesting projects and initiatives. As an example, the team is highly involved in Scania's development of Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) that generate new demands for the vehicle's crash behavior.

The team is now searching for a new team member with a primary focus on NVH simulations. Together with us at Scania, you have a unique opportunity to take an important part in developing Scania’s future products as well as optimizing the existing ones.

Your Tasks
Your primary task is with your expertise in acoustics and by performing simulations support our designers in their work to improve our vehicles. You will closely collaborate with experienced colleagues in other simulation and testing groups within acoustics and strive to improve our methods to increase their capability and lower lead times for simulations. You will also be involved in further developing our load cases and setting acceptance criteria for our products.

Your Profile
We are looking for you with high ambitions, the drive to take the initiative to improve methods and properties within the field of NVH/acoustics, and a genuine interest in the field. Good communication skills are essential since the work includes close collaboration with our designers and colleagues both in Södertälje and abroad.

You have an M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering, applied physics, or similar, with NVH analysis as your specialty. You have several years of experience in acoustic simulations, preferably in the automotive industry. You are used to communicating your results and findings to a broader audience and suggest improvements when needed. Experience in commercial structural and acoustic finite element software is a requirement.

We offer
We offer a good working environment with helpful and experienced team members. You may work on several projects including challenging simulation tasks, all from quick studies to more research-related work or method development.

In addition to career and development opportunities, we can also offer other benefits such as distance working in Sweden, a company car, company performance bonuses, a pension, flexible working hours, lunch at reduced prices, and much more. If you live in Stockholm, we offer direct bus service between Stockholm and Södertälje, the Scania JobExpress.
