Summary
In this role as a Calibration Engineer (located in Lund) you will have a direct impact on the quality of Baxter products and play an important role in our mission to save and sustain lives and make a difference for all the patients with better and secure products.
Metrology and Calibration is an important part of quality assurance in a medical device company. Virtually all products and production processes contain more or less advanced measurement applications, which have one thing in common - they have to be calibrated.
The main responsibilities will be delivering high quality calibration and metrology support, which may include development, maintenance and continuously improving, revising and updating the calibration procedures, within the area of expertise, in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
As calibration specialist you perform the calibration of the measurement equipment used to verify that our products meet the specified requirements. You master both volume calibration and advanced calibrations associated with the verification and validation of products and processes.
The position also includes metrology counseling, often in connection with the purchase and development of new measurement and calibration equipment. You are also involved in the quality assurance of the development process containing metrology in different forms.
Your contacts in the field of measurement technology are many and you have regular contact with local and international suppliers of measuring instruments and calibration services.
Qualifications
In your role as metrology specialist you need a Master or Bachelor education in the appropriate field such as for example mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or applied physics and have at least five years of industrial experience.
Documented experience at least within the physical quantities of conductivity and temperature. Additional areas are an advantage.
You have good theoretical knowledge in physical measurement technology and several years of experience in computerized metrology and calibration.
It is an advantage if you have knowledge of technical programming with MET/CAL, LabView, LabWindows, Visual Basic, etc.
You speak and write Swedish and English fluently.
As a person you are detailed and structured and take pride in delivering on time.
The Med tech industry is constantly evolving so as a person you are flexible, driven, proactive and see what needs to be done. Your ability to collaborate and communicate is very good, you enjoy working in groups but when required, you are completely self-sustaining.
