In IKEA we work together across the value chain to be affordable and accessible for many more of the many people with our fantastic product range. At IKEA of Sweden, we are responsible to develop and supply the IKEA product range offer. This is done in the different Home Furnishing Businesses (HFBs) where the Commercial team has the responsibility to secure the preconditions are in place to maximize the sales and growth opportunities with the offer we have, and to create the optimal conditions for sales and growth with the new offer we are developing. This enables the IKEA retailers to create a great meeting with our customers.
We lead the development of efficient and effective working methods, tools and competence to optimize the collaboration between the HFBs and all IKEA Retail Units. We do this through the IKEA Business Capabilities of the Relevant and Commercial Offer:
Capturing Market and Customer needs in every market, identifying preferences, expectations and gaps based on life at home, performance and competitive landscape.
Contributing to the creation and dimensioning of a Relevant Range and Product Offer to enable our retailers to sell the most relevant, commercial and affordable offer in every market.
Pricing through our value-based methodology to enable our Range Areas to develop an offer at an affordable and competitive price.
Contributing to a Commercial offer by enabling our HFB’s and retailers to plan, steer and activate the range and product offer. Here, we facilitate that all parts of the value chain are aligned to secure that each market receives the right product at the right place at the right time.
In this dynamic role as a Capability Specialist, you will be the subject matter expert in one of the Commercial Capabilities. You will be the main speaking partner for the different stakeholders, building trust and long-term cooperation across the IKEA landscape. As contribution to the development of the working methods and tools, you will be responsible for capturing and detailing the business and user requirements, securing acceptance testing together with relevant stakeholders as well as follow-up ensuring that processes, ways of working and tools are quick, lean, effective, and efficient to use.

We expect that you have experience working with the Commercial function with Product Development, Range Dimensioning, Pricing or Sales Planning, Steering & Activation and understand how they contribute to growth and profitability in the total IKEA landscape.
The position is based in Älmhult, Sweden.
