Capacity Coordinator

You will be mainly responsible for feeder handling and related projects as well as process optimization and directly report to the Area Capacity Manager. You will learn - A thorough understanding of the work and information flow between Route Management and the operational side of Maersk Line, including the role of the Allocation section.This includes knowledge of the commercial drivers on designated services, as well as related operational constraints - You will learn the value of pro-active evaluation of cargo flows, and the proper contingency planning in order to ensure operational excellence and optimal service delivery - You will learn about the factors influencing optimization of vessels and services - and you will play an active part in the optimization process on your assigned services - You will learn the economic value of continuously reviewing services and their handling and related variables - Create and maintain procedure and process awareness with interfacing departments in the area and region Requirements Technical skills: good understanding of both operational and commercial processes within shipping, analytical skills to prevent overflow situations and review/optimize processes.Basic knowledge of MEPC, GCSS, Excel and BO is a prerequisite.Previous experience within Capacity Management and Route Management on corporate level and/or Customer Service will be an advantage.Soft skills: The ability to handle changes in a hectic environment.Being a team player, result-oriented and highly motivated in order to play an active part in a fast paced decision making process.You must be able to maintain a high level of communication bridging the commercial and operational centers of the organization and have strong drive for constant efficiency improvement.
