Capacity Planning Manager

Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB offers mobile communication products for people who appreciate the possibilities of powerful technology.Established in 2001 by Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson and Sony Corporation, the joint venture continues to build on the success of its two innovative parent companies.We are now looking for a Capacity Planning Manager to join the global Supply Chain Operations organization and assume responsibility for the Capacity Planning team within this organization.The purpose of the Capacity Planning function is to drive the monthly supply chain planning process and as such balance supply and demand, derive necessary material drive plans and production capacity investments and ensure that that this is implemented and executed across the Sony Ericsson supply chain. Description of duties: Assume the role as Leader and Coach for a team of 9 people within Supply Chain Operations Member of the Management team Global HVS & Supply Chain Office EMEA/APAC/China Global Supply Chain Planning process ownership and development Supply Chain representative in the monthly Seihan process (sales and supply handshake) Volume commitments for all products from launch through end of life Develop and strengthen cooperation with key internal and external interfaces, i.e.Industrialization, Project Sourcing, High Volume Sourcing, Program Management, as well as internal Production Units and outsourcing partners (EMS & ODM) Some travelling is required, roughly 2-4 intercontinental business trips (mainly Asia), and 3-5 business trips within Europe per year. Qualifications: We expect that you to have a Master's degree within Business Administration or Engineering with major in Logistics unless you can demonstrate equivalent professional experience within Supply Chain Management.Planning/manufacturing experience is essential and previous experience within Management and Leadership (min.3 years) will be considered to be a substantial merit.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are absolute requirements.Minimum 5-7 years professional experience within the area of Supply Chain and Manufacturing, as well as fluency in the English language, written and spoken, as well as proficiency in Excel and other Windows based programs is mandatory.Previous experience working and/or implementing SAP APO/R3 is considered to be an advantage.When it comes to leadership, we are looking for servant leadership traits with a proven track record of driving high performance in the organization and mentoring future leaders.Must be a team player who can bring positive energy and new ideas into the organization.
