We are looking for our next Project Manager in the EMEIA region. In this role you will have the opportunity to aim high in managing multidiscipline capex projects and enabling your career development, both in the function and within the line organization. Joining the Project Management team, you are part of an ambitious, diverse and focused team!
You will
You will manage and lead large and complex multidisciplinary projects in parallel, involving our regional Engineering, Procurement, Construction management (EPCm) partner and construction sub-contracts. In our organization you will bring your talent and skillset to the next level, aiding in continuously improving Nouryon’s capex project management excellence. You’ll have the opportunity to utilize your competences to guide site-CAPEX-managers, as they do define and update their CAPEX portfolio plan on a yearly basis.
Other tasks and areas of responsibility are:
- operation owner -Project Management- responsibility for the project throughout all phases, Front-End-Loading, through detail design to construction, commissioning and start up
- delivering best in class capex projects, safe within defined scope, schedule, budget and dedicated quality. Project regarding site utilities within bleaching chemicals and specialized products like Colloidal Silica and Kromasil.
- providing transparent reporting with predictability and forecasting, analysis and mitigation planning
- lead the multifunctional project team with owners’ functional experts and the EPCm project leads
- provide input for the project’s Appropriation Request (AR) and sign off for execution
- manage project close out, assessment of lessons learned, project documentation and hand-over to operations
You are
We are looking for a person with the ability to work in an inclusive way in the Asset Management community. We value characteristics such as being influencing, entrepreneurial, result oriented and problem solving. Your interpersonal skills are important and we expect you to have high content experience and negotiation skills. Other important parts are your conceptual skills, such as the ability to follow through on commitments and your ability to drive continuous improvement of work processes and standards.
A Bachelor’s or higher degree in mechanical and/or process engineering or related disciplines is required for this position. We also expect you to have proven project management skills for capital investments of up to 10 Mio Euro and more than 5 years of experience. Relevant and proven experience from multidisciplinary engineering and project environments, exposure to multiple locations, cultures and/or companies is a plus. Communication skills in English both verbal and convincing presentation skills are required. For this position there must be an ability to travel for about 6 to 8 weeks/year in the Nordics area, project related. And finally, you should of course be willing to celebrate small and bigger successes within the team.
