We are currently recruiting for a Carbody Additions Engineer in our Passengers Division in Västerås, Sweden. The Job Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for Dimensioning, design and calculation of air ducts, cable ducts, mounting beams, air piping and crash absorbers, in the meaning of adding functions to a car body shell. Key Accountabilities: - Design of parts in 3D - Calculation of flow, space or structural strength - Interaction with Concept Integration Engineers - Contact with suppliers for material data, performance or material choice. - Interaction with Systems & Product Engineers Education and Experience required: - Bs or Ms in Mechanical Engineering, Structural calculations - Minimum of 1 year experience (work or research experience) - Knowledge of 3D CAD Design Tool as well as Calculation Tool - Structured approach and excellent communication skills - Knowledge of Math Lab, Ansys or Nastran would be an advantage - Willingness to travel to Europe on a regular basis - Experience of any calculation work - Fluent English is a must as well as Swedish
