About this opportunity
We are looking to hire a Global Lead for Career Development at Scania, which is a newly created role within the Career Develepment and Job Design department. Responsibilities
• Manage global end-to-end processes for career paths and career planning
• Build and develop career paths, focusing on key areas where there is a demand for talent. Influence key stakeholders on ‘grow your own talent’
• Design, implement and maintain a range of career development frameworks, processes, and tools in order to attract, develop, and retain talent
• Ensuring compliance with specified design principles, internal policies, and external legal requirements
• Contribute to the management of partnering relationships with internal clients, building effective working relationships and providing high-quality professional services to support in delivering business strategy and plans
• Deployment of the new global competency framework
Skills and competencies
• Uses comprehensive knowledge and skills to work independently and makes sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
• Fluent in English and communicates effectively, clear and confident (verbal and written), with strong facilitation and presentation skills
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships. Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
• Recognizes the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization
• Creates a climate where people are motivated to do their best to help the organization achieve its objectives
• Plans and prioritizes work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals and knows the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement
Education & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level
• Substantial work experience in for example career development, talent, competency management, workforce planning (Over 6 years to 10 years)
• Experience of developing and implementing competency frameworks, career pathways or people analytics is desirable
• KFLA certification is desirable
