Category Analyst, Global transport & logistic services

We are currently looking for a Category Analyst who can start immediately. The assignment is temporay, 6 months, with great possibility for extension.
Placement is in Gothenburg, but there are opportunities for positioning on Cargotec's offices in Malmö and Stockholm as well.


Arbetsuppgifter

To provide analytical support for sourcing initiatives in global express / courier and airfreight tenders:
- simulate the budget based on the submitted quotations for 10+ carriers
- compare supplier offers against each other and against the current spend for 90+ countries and 30+ service levels
- ensure “apple to apple comparison” of rates and accessorial charges
- be in contact with the carriers for bid clarification and validation
- estimate potential savings or cost increases based on different award scenarios

To provide analytical support in other category activities

Utbildning/erfarenhet

• Advanced Excel user (pivot tables, formulas, macros)
• Strong analytical skills
• Thorough understanding of transport costs and accessorials for express courier and airfreight / ocean freight transportation
• Ability to work with large amounts of data and synthesize it
• Fluency in English is required
• Academic education in logistics, transport or procurement is desirable.
• 2-3 years of experience form an international environment as transport or logistics analyst
• Good understanding of transport operations and costing for all transport modes: road, air, sea, courier
• Service oriented with good communication skills
