- Job description
As a Category analyst, you will provide analytical support for sourcing initiatives in global express/courier and airfreight tenders and other category activities.
Your responsibilities will be to simulate the budget based on the submitted quotations for 10+ carriers, compare supplier offers against each other and against the current spend for 90+ countries and 30+ service levels. You will ensure “apple to apple comparison” of rates and accessorial charges, be in contact with the carriers for bid clarification and validation. You will also estimate potential savings or cost increases based on different award scenarios.
You will cooperate with other carriers and logistics/transport teams on the sites, which requires you to be service oriented with good communication skills.
Location: Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Helsinki (Finland) or Stargard (Poland).
- Experience
For the task at hand you need to have at least 2-3 years of experience from an international environment as transport- or logistics analyst.
- Education
Academic education in logistics, transport or procurement.
- Personal qualifications and requirements
As a Category analyst you need to have strong analytical skills and ability to work with large amount of data and synthesize it. You understand transport costs and accessorials for express courier and airfreight/ocean freight transportation. Furthermore, you have a good understanding of transport operations and costing for all transportation modes – courier, air, sea and road. The job requires fluency in English, in both speech and writing and that you are an advanced user of Excel.
