Veritaz is a fast-growing IT-consultant firm. Our company is made up of insanely bright people from over 4 countries, and we are located in Sweden, UK, US and Pakistan. The voyage has been incredible this far, but it is only the beginning.
We are currently looking for passionate experienced and result-oriented candidates for the role of a Category Buyer with a professional background and exemplary concepts to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of the candidate include:
Develop and deliver our purchasing strategies to meet the company's needs for future technologies and concepts
Plan and execute supplier selections in accordance with agreed-upon strategies and in close collaboration with the category team and stakeholders
Own and manage my supply base, ensuring that we have a well-balanced base of financially sound and competent suppliers with an optimal footprint to support sustainability
Ensure that contracts are correct, completed, and stored on time
Ensure that all purchasing commitments are met prior to the completion of each programme milestone.
Work with the category team and all stakeholders to ensure supplier capability, quality, and on-time delivery.
Motivate suppliers and internal stakeholders to improve business operations by identifying and implementing commercial, technical, and supply chain cost-cutting opportunities.
Look for proactive ways to optimise the running of a business's supply base while assessing and managing supply base risks.
Accept full responsibility for my company and work with the other team members to achieve a balanced workload and complete all tasks on our backlog.
Keep all relevant systems up to date in order to provide real-time data transparency.
Provide and solicit development feedback.
Education, Expertise, and experience requirements:
Competency prerequisites for the applicant:
Have a university diploma or the equivalent.
Have 3-5 years of experience in a relevant purchasing role and the sourcing activities listed above.
Previous experience with indirect procurement or CapEx investments is advantageous.
Have experience with supplier management and contractual topics, as well as the ability to drive fact-based negotiations/discussions.
Experience with sourcing strategies.
You are a true team player who provides and requests assistance.
Enjoy working in groups as well as driving and completing tasks on your own.
Must be structured in order to manage complex projects and the numerous interfaces associated with this role.
Maintain a flexible mindset and adapt quickly in our fast-paced work environment.
Have the confidence to act in an international setting.
