Category Buyer

ValueOne is looking for a Category Buyer for an eight month consultant assignment at a manufacturing company in Gothenburg. The assignment must be filled as soon as possible.

The role  

The role as Category Buyer means that you work in close collaboration with your local and global buyer colleagues, Global Category Manager and other stakeholders internally and externally.

Main tasks:

Negotiate cost consequences connected to technical changes.
Handle supplier capacity constraints.
Handle supplier financial claims.
Manage system updates and administration.
Conduct piece price gap analysis and negotiation to bring cost down in running production.
Conduct meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

Experience and competencies  

The person we are looking for should preferably have a bachelor’s degree or similar within economics, administration or technology. The assignment requires purchasing experience, preferably from the manufacturing industry. Experience from negotiation planning and execution as well as project leadership is also required. Previous experience from DM Purchasing is preferred.

You need to have an analytical and structured mindset and good planning, prioritization and communication skills. As a person you are proactive, inclusive, persuasive, humble and driven with an eye for detail as well as for the whole picture. You have a genuine interest in business optimization, problem solving, cross functional collaboration as well as personal and team development.
