Category Buyer

Valueone is looking for a Category Buyers for longer assignments at a manufacturing company in Gothenburg. The assignments are to be filled as soon as possible.

The role  

In the role you will be sourcing new projects and market and manage international suppliers. You will collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Manufacturing and others. You own and drive your business in close collaboration with your local and global buyer colleagues, Global Category Manager, R&D, Manufacturing and a multitude of stakeholders throughout the company and at your suppliers.

Main tasks:

Handle negotiation of cost consequences connected to technical changes.
Handle supplier capacity constraints.
Handle supplier financial claims.
Conduct system updates and administration.
Conduct piece price gap analysis and negotiation to bring cost down in running production.
Handle meetings with internal and external stakeholders to solve any problems that might arise during project or running business.

Experience and competencies  

As a Category Buyer you benefit from having a Bachelor´s degree or similar within economics, administration or technology. You need to have an analytical and structured mindset and good planning, prioritization and communication skills. It is very useful to have experience from negotiation planning and execution as well as project leadership. We value a genuine interest in business optimization, problem solving, cross functional collaboration as well as personal and team development. You must be proficient in English, oral and writing. Proficiency in Swedish is meritorious.
