Change Maker within Electrical Procurement team
At Procurement, you are part of a global team with the mission to develop and maintain a world-class supplier base. Ensuring the supply of materials and services - at the right cost, quality and technology is essential for the success of Volvo Car Group. - Drive the development of the commodity to support Volvo car strategic objectives
- Lead strategic sourcing projects to completion in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Manage and develop the supplier base
- Support buyers in the segment in both internal and external stakeholder management
- Actively contribute to the team development, by bringing improvement ideas, supporting your peers, coaching buyers when relevant, and sharing best practices.
This role requires traveling on a regular basis (mainly within Europe but sometimes overseas as well).
You
- are a strong team player who is honest and actively works with self-development.
- are a person which is a true collaborator, courageous and who can manage complexity
- dare to challenge the status quo, suppliers, and our stakeholders.
- like to do business, you demonstrate great communication skills and you love to work cross-functionally and multi-culturally
- have a can-do approach with a positive and open mindset, a high level of energy, and you are ready to tackle challenges with passion and purpose.
- enjoy managing many parallel activities, you are structured, analytical and you have a target-oriented approach.
- are excellent in building relations both internally and externally.
- have a business or engineering degree, with at least 7 years’ experience in purchasing, preferably in automotive.
To succeed in this role, you have a Business or Technical University degree (or equivalent).
You are proficient in English, both spoken and written.
The automotive industry and Electrification are changing rapidly, and the competitive environment and our company’s strategy might change fast. Therefore, we are not only valuing your previous experience and competencies but also your personality and your passion to develop and embrace unknown future challenges.
Most of all, you are willing to learn, try new things and have fun!
