Job Description
For our client within the automotive industry we are looking for a Category Buyer - Energy Propulsion.

As a category buyer you will be part of a dynamic team of 17 buyers whom supporting each other to reach business objectives. In this role, you are responsible for direct material in close corporation with supplier quality management and to secure supply and deliver cost efficiency and additional value into the sourcing programs. You will also participate in the development and execution of Commodity Business Plans.

They purchase material to advanced projects, new projects and running production for all our clients manufacturing plants. Their main areas are High voltage Batteries, Electrified Charging and Battery Components.

Your tasks and responsibilities will be to:
• Act on design changes within the projects.
• Establish action plans for part-specific supplier issues in the ongoing operations. Strive to achieve continuous improvement and increase efficiency by, for example, establishing a supplier base in accordance with our clients overall strategies.
• Represent the company and procurement towards the supplier base, and work with short-term and long-term goals. You are a key member of cross-functional teams consisting of colleagues from the R&D organization, Supplier Quality Management and Cost Engineering.
• Secure purchased capacity and correct information in purchasing systems and follow-up on results and deviations
• Frequent supplier contacts regarding daily tasks
• Be part of the Global Commodity Council, discuss strategy and projects to adapt to your Global purchasing team.

Admission and Application
