At Global Investments within Procurement we are now looking for an experienced Category Buyer to strengthen our team that focuses on sourcing of state-of-the art, automated process equipment as well as construction and real estate solutions for Volvo Cars globally.

What you will do
As a Buyer within Procurement, you will create and deliver on our purchasing strategies in order to meet the company´s needs for future technologies and concepts. You will plan and execute supplier selections in close co-operation with the category team and stakeholders.
You will own and manage your supply base, making sure we have a balanced base of financially healthy and competent suppliers with an optimal footprint supporting, that supports our highly set sustainability targets. You will also make sure that contracts are correct, completed and stored in a timely manner and that that all purchasing deliveries are met prior to each program milestone.
In this role, you will cooperate within the category team and with all stakeholders to secure supplier capability, quality and timely deliveries. Moreover, you will drive suppliers and internal stakeholders to optimize running business by identifying and implementing commercial, technical and supply chain cost saving opportunities.
You take full responsibility for your business and co-operate with the other team members to achieve a balanced workload and delivery of all tasks in our backlog. To enable real time data transparency, you continuously keep all relevant systems updated and you provide and ask for developing feedback.

Qualifications
• University degree or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of experience from a relevant Purchasing role and above listed sourcing activities
• Experience from sourcing construction projects or similar, or experience from working within the construction industry is meritorious
• Have worked with supplier management and contractual topics and are used to drive fact-based negotiations/discussions
• Have worked with sourcing strategies
• Fluent in Swedish and English, written and spoken
