Responsibilities
Specific objectives of the role are:
• Develop and implement Category Strategy for assigned (sub-)categories and region and facilitate cross-functional alignment with key stakeholders to effectively execute procurement activities
• Establish a base of preferred suppliers, an effective SRM and secure lowest TCO
• Lead sourcing activities for one or more categories of spend, in line with Category Strategy, across Plants and Business Units and identify potential synergies with the goal of achieving significant cost reductions in line with budget targets, while maintaining/ improving product quality and supplier service levels
• Contract management: actively engage, negotiate and Implement contracts, agreements, and new processes
• Support the roll-out of the new Purchasing Jaggaer tool to strive for continuous improvement
• Monitor suppliers´ capacity, performance and compliance with guidelines and contractual agreements
• Capture saving initiatives in the Indirect Purchasing Tracker and maintain supplier/category and contractual records per need
• Drive best practices and key players roadmap, cooperate closely with the Global Category Team, and improve service level
• Apply and transfer knowledge and experience to other team members in order to maximize team performance
• Proactively react upon changes versus original milestones and solve operational issues directly with the suppliers
Requirements
• At least 2-3 years of professional experience in international environment
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in relevant field
• Strong communication and project management skills in combination with a technical understanding
• A proactive, goal-oriented and cross-functional approach
• Strong analytical and technical understanding
• Result-driven, flexible to travel and can set priorities
• High degree of personal integrity and confidence
• Being a self-going and self-motivated person
• Flexible and comfortable in a rapidly changing and demanding matrix organization
• Fluency in English, oral and written, is a requirement
