Category leader - Strategic purchaser

AB Sandvik Materials Technologys (SMT) need of direct and indirect material as well as services, is coordinated through the global purchasing department located in Sandviken.SMT Purchasing shall by co-ordination, business mindedness and efficient processes ensure that it, in accordance with SMT's vision, delivers increased productivity and efficiency to our customers. Key performance areas SMT Purchasing is facing next step and is now looking for increasing the organisation with Category leaders within -direct material and service's related to that -service areas (e.g.contractors, consultants, HR and FM services) -indirect support material The positions are stationed in Sandviken.As a Category leader you are a Strategic Purchaser whitin a certain product/service area.The position includes acting as a coordinator and supporting the local Productions Units (PU), located all over the world.You will co-ordinate cross PU sourcing activities and take a SMT responsibility.You will also support local PUs with strategic sourcing activities, i.e.supplier market knowledge, agreements, negotiations, supplier relationship development etc.You will build and maintain a cross functional network. In the position, you will support the development and the implementation of the new way of working within Purchasing, Future State of Purchasing.The work will be done in close co-operation with SMTs other category leaders. As Category leader, you will report to SMTs global Category Manager. In the position are there good opportunities for further development within the company.. Your profile We believe that you, who apply have at least 3 years experience of working with strategic sourcing activities i.e.sourcing strategies, supplier search, negotiations, agreement handling and supplier relationship development.It is qualifying with experience from manufacturing industry.You should have a Business Science degree within economy or engineering, with focus on purchasing and/or logistic. Personal Attributes: Leader & Motivator of self and others.Inter Personal Skills.Ability to work individually and as a member/leader of a team.Ability to communicate effectively both written & verbal in both Swedish and English, on different levels in a company.
