Kjell & Company is now looking to expand our team with a new Category Manager to join our Assortment team

Joining our team of Category Managers you will be a significant contributor into ensuring Kjells continuous growth, development and profitability by understanding the latest trends and technology on the market and create right investment possibilities for our product portfolio.  

Your assignment 


• Develop and renew our product portfolio according to overall business and assortment strategy, and to continuously ensure relevant and attractive products meeting our customer expectations
• Contribute to development of our profitability according to set targets
• Be a creative innovator for new business possibilities 
• Keep up to date with the latest technology, product and customer trends
• Responsible for phasing in and phasing out new and outgoing products
• Contribute with projects within product development for Kjell own brands
• Continuous price optimization and analyses, including keeping him/herself updated with competitor pricing
• Responsible that purchase pricing and supplier terms are in line with overall strategies
• Develop and act on campaign offering to ensure the best possible conditions
• Adapt and optimize the assortment for other relevant markets outside Sweden where appropriate
• Travel to new and existing suppliers as well as visit yearly fairs
• Contribute in building good relations with new and existing suppliers and distributors
• Contribute in building open and collaborative environment across the departments and organizations in Kjell Group

Your background:

We believe you have about 7+ years of experience working in similar assignment in an international environment. You have experience and knowledge of development and optimization of product portfolio and working closely in collaboration with suppliers. If you have been working with product development, it is an advantage. You can work on strategic as well as tactical and operational level. You have a natural curiosity, high energy and enjoy a dynamic entrepreneurial growth culture.

You need to be fluent in English and Swedish (or other Nordic language).

You will report to Assortment Director for Kjell Group. Your base is our offices in Malmö but since we are a future oriented organization, we apply a hybrid working model with flexibility in workplace. You can expect app 30+ days of travel per year.
