Job Summary:
As a Nordics Category Manager (CM), you are responsible for a category driving profitable and innovative long-term growth of airline partners retail programs (product / service portfolio, pricing strategy, promotions, etc.) as outlined in the category strategy set by the Senior GCM who is overall responsible for the categories. The role is responsible for defining and reviewing assortments, achieving budgets, and improving SPH (spend per head) and MPH (margin per head) and conversion rate across all airline partners and clients.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Select product / service portfolio, optimizing assortments based on passenger profiles to drive SPH MPH and conversion.
• Analyse SPH and MPH and conversion rate proactively and propose new initiatives for further improvement.
• Proactively research product to drive innovation and the passenger’s experience.
• Implement price policies by airline customer.
• Implement promotional strategy by airline customer.
• Deliver advertising and marketing income, ensuring it is in line with category targets.
• Forecast sales for new SKUs and/or per campaign.
• Manage stock levels, balancing warehousing cost while ensuring product availability.
• Support finance department with suppliers-related discussions.
• Support senior Global Category Manager with data for the overall category strategy.
• Partner with Global Procurement on supplier selection and management.
• Analyse market trends and competition in the market using BI/CI data and own research as appropriate.
• Participate to presentations to airline partners and new/potential customers using insights to deliver innovative product / service portfolio.
• Drive sustainability.
• Ad-hoc category management projects.
Education: bachelor degree
Work Experience: minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing the relevant category, including product and assortment development
Technical Skills: Experienced MS Office user, familiar with reporting systems and ERP tools and other business systems
Other Skills:
• Able to deliver exceptional quality work within set deadlines
• Able to prioritise and act quickly to meet changing business demands
• Strong understanding of the commercial and consumer requirements of successful category management (eg range / price / promotion management)
• Able to build strong relationships with suppliers and customers, as well as other business stakeholders

Language / Communication Skills: fluent English essential, other languages an advantage
