Vattenfall is now looking for a senior expert to fill the position as Category Manager Procurement Distribution Sweden. The role sits within Staff Function Procurement and provides support to BU Distribution Sweden. In this role emphasis will be on innovation and developments in what is known as strategic material that Vattenfall Eldistribution source directly or indirectly and provide as input to our contractors of construction projects and manufacturers of assemblies for pre-fabricated system components.
As Category Manager, you contribute with value creation for the benefit of BU Distribution Sweden. The focal point of this particular role is common activities for a category manager such as e.g. leading category teams, performing analyses of supply markets, performing analyses of the supplier base, development of category strategies, implementation of category strategies, sourcing of framework agreements as well as managing future and ongoing deliveries.
Responsibilities of Category Manager
Main categories in scope are strategic material that Vattenfall Eldistribution source directly or indirectly and provide as input to our contractors of construction projects and manufacturers of assemblies for pre-fabricated system components, and specifically supplier markets development and sourcing within these areas. Further you will be responsible of:
The development and implementation of the strategy (-ies) for the assigned category (-ies) in cooperation with Distribution Sweden according to strategy and goals of Distribution Sweden.
Ensuring the use of the category strategy (-ies) by FPDS sourcing managers tendering contracts within the assigned category strategy (-ies), jointly developing sourcing strategies for the related projects.
Management, Purchasing + support functions e.g. Legal, Security, HSEQ
Attraction and qualification of new suppliers withing assigned category (-ies)
Being the direct interface to Distribution Sweden in terms of category specific topics.
Communicate, report and inform externally and internally to and from stakeholders (stakeholder management).
Influencing supplier market in direction of Eldistribution category strategy fulfillment for the assigned category (-ies).
Qualifications
Education, Experience and Skills
We believe that the right candidate has relevant academic education, preferably B. Sc. Engineering, M.Sc. Engineering, or equivalent. You have experience from management of deliveries under a framework agreement and demand/supply forecasting as a means to secure uninterrupted supply and enable growth. We believe that you have 5-10 years of relevant working experience as senior buyer, category manager and experience from developing and implementing category in the manufacturing, energy, utilities or infrastructure industry. We are looking for a Category Manager who has:
Experience from working with and engaging with external suppliers to enable development and collaborative innovation.
Knowledgeable of and experience from general terms and conditions typically used in supply of materials , services and construction projects e.g. NL / Orgalime / ABM.
Strong commercial intuition and business acumen
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills, in Swedish and English
Ability to work across relevant business functions e.g. asset management, project management, R&D, Legal etc. to deliver complete and fit for purpose solutions, products and services.
Optional Experiences and Skills
Knowledge of EU tender law (LUF in Sweden).
Experience from large sourcing projects and complex framework agreements with complex incentive and price adjustment models.
Knowledge of energy business, understanding of regulated DSO .
