Category Manager Chemicals

We are looking for a businessdriven Category Manager that have experience of executing and deliver results, enjoys leading and coordinating sourcing acitivites and interacting with stakeholders and suppliers in a global and dynamic environment.

Your role

You will be responsible for leading and coordinating sourcing projects within Chemicals category for all products within Saab Group product range and all Business Areas.

The main tasks are:

* Set, develop and execute category strategies on a BA and company group level
* Define, drive and implement category management by understanding the needs of the business as well as an in-depth knowledge of chemicals and its global regulations to build and execute a local and global sourcing strategy
* Lead collaboration and communication with other functions such as environment, quality, material & processes and sourcing managers throughout the Saab Group, to provide efficient and differentiated solutions, plan possible risks, foresee and prepare for changes in market, demand and regulations, to ensure the global supply process.
* Perform and lead sourcing and supply activities and projects to deliver cost reduction and key performance indicators for the category
* Drive compliance to both global safety requirements as well as global procurement policies through continuous process improvements

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

Your profile

Required and desired skills:

* Bachelor's Degree (Master's Preferred), other relevant University degree
* Minimum 6+ years of relevant job experience
* Excellent collaboration, analyze and communication skills
* Business and performance driven
* Demonstrated strategic thinking to develop long-range supply strategies and plans that drive significant value while meeting the business requirements

* Experience from Procurement and leading commercial teams
* Chemicals or highly regulated industry experience
* Interest in continuous improvements
* English, verbal and written
* Willingness to travel

What you will be a part of

In your role you will support all Business Areas within Saab Group. You will be organized within business area Aeronautics. We work in a highly international environment where a majority of our suppliers are foreign. A professional sourcing operation with developed business relations with our suppliers is crucial for the sustainability and profitability of Saab and our products. Our success depends on the ability to build professional and integrated relations with our suppliers. You will be part of the Procurement office comprising more than 100 dedicated co-workers, working with all tasks linked to an effective and value adding procurement operation.
