The Role

As the Category Manager Commercial, you are an integral member of the dedicated Commercial Professional Services team within SAS's Sourcing organization. In this role, your responsibilities encompass analyzing and strategically planning your assigned categories within the commercial sector in alignment with the broader business strategy. Additionally, you are tasked with ensuring that sourcing plans adhere to this strategy, aiming to secure cost-efficient supplier contracts and revenue optimal partner contracts. This involves driving tender processes, negotiating contracts, and collaborating closely with the business unit. Together with a sourcing manager you will effectively implement the sourcing plan.

Your key responsibilities: Develop, anchor, drive and implement category strategies and cross functional sourcing plans. 
Optimize the supplier base for your assigned categories to deliver best business value to SAS.  Challenge the organization to find the best solution for SAS.

Drive business transformation activities within category through cross functional teams. 
Managing the RFx process from end to end, leading commercial and contractual negotiations. 
Building and maintaining supplier relationships. 
Managing category and suppliers through their lifecycle, including supplier risk and relationship management. 
SASs office is in Frösundavik, the position reports to Head of Category Commercial, Professional Services and Indirect.

Desired Experience and Education: Minimum 5 years of working experience in a similar role.
Strong experience in Supplier relation management, contract management and negotiations.
Project Management and/or Change management.
Used to working in Excel (price trends, business case calculations etc.) as well as creating effective Power Point presentations.
Master’s or bachelor’s degree in economics, engineering or law.
