Our first aircraft is the ES-19, a nineteen-passenger airliner with an operating range of 400 km. The ES-19 is a fully electric aircraft, and our goal is to have the aircraft certified for commercial operation by 2026.

Role Overview
The role of Category Manager reports to the Head of Supply Chain Management and has broad responsibility for developing and deploying our supply chain management capabilities. This will include establishing our ways of working, both between internal organisations and external suppliers.
This is one of two new Category Manager roles within Heart Aerospace both of which present a challenge and an exciting opportunity to develop, advance and influence the development of our supply chain management team.
Your key responsibilities would include:
- Lead all supply chain and procurement activities to build Heart’s supply chain capabilities. This will cover a variety of direct products including but not limited to Equipment and Propulsion.
- Closely engage with internal teams (Engineering and Programme) to align on technical solutions, supplier selection and prioritization.
- Assess Market & identify potential suppliers and work with existing partners on selection, negotiation and contracting.
- Secure delivery of all required parts or materials to Heart’s facility.
Qualifications & Experience
- BS/BA in related field plus 5 years or more related experience
- Procurement commodity experience working in the commercial aerospace industry in an OEM environment
- Experience with Commercial aircraft development programs
- Experience working in an EASA Part 21J Design Organisation or international equivalent
- High experience of using Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent interpersonal and organisation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Eagerness to work with others
- Passion for aircraft and Heart’s mission
The ideal candidate would have
- Experience in putting in place commodity strategies
- Recognised industry certification in Contract Management and/or Supply Chain Management
- Experience working in an aerospace start-up environment
