SAS Strategic Sourcing is a central function in the parent company where the department works in close cooperation with the respective business units.
SAS's purchasing organization aims to be the best in its industry and deliver a clear added value to the company. The organization is divided in 3 main Category areas and in this role, you will report to our Chief Purchasing Officer.
As a Category Manager you are responsible for developing, anchor and implement strategies as well as driving sourcing projects, i.e. plan, analyze, evaluate, select, negotiate and contract suppliers in line with defined category strategy and in accordance with defined specifications, policies, processes and tools.
You will work in close cooperation with SAS main fuel suppliers as well as with SAS own Oil companies SAS Oil Denmark A/S, SAS Oil Sweden AB and SAS Oil Norway A/S. You will be a key player in SAS ambition to develop a more sustainable travelling. Decision-making paths up in the organization are short and there is a great opportunity to influence and develop in this role. Purpose:
Drive and set sourcing strategies within the Fuel category.
Optimize and manage the full sourcing need within defined category “Fuel”
Participate and represent SAS in strategic important infrastructure projects in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
Member of relevant boards representing SAS interest
Experience and Background:
Relevant Bachelor or Master university degree
At least10 years of relevant experience within purchasing and/or Fuel business
Proven of running successful purchasing projects, contract Management
Highly skilled in analytics and business case presentations
Documented ability to negotiate agreements in English
Experience from the fuel industry is an advantage
Personal skills
You are result oriented and have a will to deliver results. You like to drive negotiations and you communicate easily with stakeholders on all levels.
As a person, you have a high degree of independence, integrity, personal drive and very good communication skills. You are a strong team player who collaborates and easily integrates in existing teams.
