Develop and implement global category strategies
Do you want to be a part of our global procurement organization and participate in shaping the future of Procurement within NKT? Are you a strong procurement professional with technical acumen and work experience? Then you could be our new Category Manager, Investments in NKT.
Within Production Materials, Accessory Components and Investments (Direct Procurement), we are responsible for the strategic sourcing activities across the NKT Group, worldwide. Our work is based on Category Management methodology with clear roles and responsibility, empowerment and accountability. We are a key to the success of NKT, bringing procurement excellence into all the work we do and we are consistently high on the Management agenda.
The position
As Category Manager in the NKT Group your job will be extremely varied and challenging. Your main tasks will be to:
Develop category strategies and goals, weighing supplier market capabilities against the internal requirements
Build and develop stakeholder relations internally, externally, cross functional and across cultures to become a trusted business partner in close cooperation with your colleagues.
Lead and support negotiations with suppliers, perform competitive bidding and approving commercial agreements
Drive the change agenda, improve ways of working, optimize value creation and exploit new technology and eTools
Execute on Procurement projects, Cost-out opportunities and drive value creation
Run innovation developments projects and assist in make or buy projects with key suppliers and internal stakeholders

Your work location will be in Karlskrona, Sweden. The position requires approximately 10-30 days of travel per year, primarily in Europe.
Your background
You hold a Bachelor in Business, Engineering Economics or similar combined with 2-5 years of experience in strategic sourcing and/or category management. You have relevant experience driving investment/CAPEX projects (Machinery, Building, etc).
You have proven yourself as a successful communicator, convincing and inspiring and you are experienced in negotiating international projects across borders. You are goal-oriented and proactive, have strong project management skills and able to build trustful relationships with internal as well as external stakeholders at all levels.
You have an analytical approach, and you like working independently, possess personal drive, and can work in cross-functional teams. You thrive in a high paced changing environment where not all is set in stone. As we work in an international environment, it is essential that you speak and write English fluently.
