Vattenfall is now looking for a category manager within the IT Category Management with location Arenastaden in Stockholm.
IT Category manager is a team of 10 persons within SF Procurement. Its role is to perform international sourcing and supplier management for the whole IT category in Vattenfall group. Our goal is to optimize outcome in terms of customer value, cost reduction and risk mitigation, by addressing important part of the IT category spend, in total approx. 250M?.
Your main tasks & responsibilities
As category manager IT your responsibilities and tasks are:
-Develop and establish distinct supply strategies for the IT needs which accurately reflect business priorities and supply market dynamics sponsored by internal stakeholders.
-Support the ?make or buy? decisions and outsourcing of non-competitive advantage areas
-Perform international sourcing and supplier management, mainly within subcategory SW and services, to ensure that goods and/or services are sourced and delivered at best total cost of ownership available to Vattenfall on the supplier market (Quality/Service/Technology/Price) and that the value for VF stays at the high level throughout the valid period of the contracts through optimization of existing solutions /supplier base and specific vendors, including how business is using them (spend management)
-Being the single point of contact for appointed part of Vattenfall business and suppliers, driving the procurement planning and business dialogue process, working closely with colleagues in IT, Business units and Procurement internationally.
-Ensure implementation of best practice across relations and/or categories of spend, plan, follow-up, report and secure needed actions, driving cost reductions in IT category cross-country.
As category manager IT you have following qualifications
Our best candidate have a relevant university degree (or equal), with a minimum of three years relevant work experience in a similar international position. Our candidate has sound knowledge of the category and supplier market for IT, mainly SW and Services, as well as sourcing and supplier management. Project management skills and experience of dealing with stakeholders and important suppliers internationally is needed. Experienced in leading change in a large international organization. Your command of Swedish and English is strong, both verbally and written. Knowledge of German language is an advantage. Frequent travel required.
As a person you are a strong negotiator with superior interpersonal skills, wide commercial interest and a strong credibility built through both business insight and leadership. We are looking for a person that have the ability to simplify complexity and to identify ?the 20% of the scope that drives 80% of the results?. You are a team player who actively engages people by asking, sharing, helping or asking for help and you are pro-active, transparent, performance and results oriented. Sound communication skills and analytical skills is a must. You are flexible, seeing the potentials in change and easily adopt and find new and improved way of thinking and working.
